Hyrum is in a phase where he likes to make up words.
For instance, when he was getting his eyes checked he would make up words for the images that were blurry. "What do you see Hyrum?" "I see a doovah, and a harish and a chooo." The doctor would then change the lense so that the images became clear, and suddenly, the doovah became a cake, the harish became a horse and the chooooooo became an airplane. He has come up with all kinds of made up words lately to describe the things he does and imagins. He really likes making up words.
With that in mind, this is the interesting conversation we had at breakfast this morning.
Hyrum: SEX!
Me:What?
Hyrum: Sex!
ME: You mean six?
Hyrum: No, Sex.
Me: Oh....What is Sex?
Hyrum: It's when you take apples and Make a snowman. (He then showed me how he had stacked two apples on top of each other).
Me: oh.... That's not Sex, that's Fex.
Ammon: What's Fex?
Me: It's when you take apples and Make a snowman.
Ammon and Hyrum: Oh. Okay.
He then dropped the subject, for which I am glad. I hope he doesn't go to primary today and start talking about Sex (for Fex) because while he will be thinking of Apples and snowmen, the teachers will be thinking of something entirely different.
That was funny!
